As every year, TPSS staff participated in the Community Languages Teachers Conference organised by the New South Wales Federation of Community Language Schools, which was held on the 27th of April at Sydney University. The keynote speakers were some wellknown and internationally recognised experts in language education. Professor Joseph Lo Bianco spoke in his highly interesting lecture about the role of artificial intelligence in language teaching, its numerous benefits but also real risks associated with it. Dr. Gianfranco Conti presented a number of teaching methods, games and activities that engage students and positively influence their motivation to learn languages. Alongside the keynote speakers, there were multiple workshops to choose from focusing on handson, practical materials and ideas, presented by leading language academics and educators, including specialists in community languages. All presentations and workshops were very useful as they allowed our teachers to further develop their skills.
